THE HAGUE, Oct 5 (Hina) - The president of the Bosnian Serb entity, Dragan Cavic, visited the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague on Tuesday and held talks at his request with ICTY president Theodor Meron and chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte.

Meron insisted on the urgent arrest of Radovan Karadzic and other Bosnian Serb fugitives, and Cavic conveyed his entity's determination to fully cooperate with the ICTY.

Del Ponte's spokeswoman Florence Hartmann quoted the chief prosecutor as saying at her meeting with Cavic that she continued to expect concrete cooperation results of which there had been none for a long time.

The Bosnian Serb entity, Republika Srpska, is under growing pressure from the international community to hand over persons charged with genocide and crimes against humanity.

On Monday, the European Union and NATO again called on Republika Srpska to make additional efforts to arrest Karadzic.
