Meron insisted on the urgent arrest of Radovan Karadzic and other Bosnian Serb fugitives, and Cavic conveyed his entity's determination to fully cooperate with the ICTY.
Del Ponte's spokeswoman Florence Hartmann quoted the chief prosecutor as saying at her meeting with Cavic that she continued to expect concrete cooperation results of which there had been none for a long time.
The Bosnian Serb entity, Republika Srpska, is under growing pressure from the international community to hand over persons charged with genocide and crimes against humanity.
On Monday, the European Union and NATO again called on Republika Srpska to make additional efforts to arrest Karadzic.
