She said tribunal president Theodor Meron told Serbia and Montenegro Human and Minority Rights Minister and chairman of the national council for cooperation with the Hague tribunal Rasim Ljajic that it was inappropriate to talk about the transfer of some cases to domestic courts when Serbia and Montenegro was not cooperating with the tribunal.
Milenov said the Hague tribunal would not close its doors until all trials were over, including proceedings against the four generals. She added that all Serbian politicians saying otherwise were deluding citizens.
The Hague tribunal last year unsealed indictments against army generals Nebojsa Pavkovic and Vladimir Lazarevic, and police generals Sreten Lukic and Vlastimir Djordjevic. Djordjevic is the only one unavailable to the police. He is reportedly in Russia.
Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica recently urged the four generals, as well as fugitives Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic, to turn themselves in to the Hague tribunal.
