PETRINJA, May 11 (Hina) - A team of Macedonian Army inspectors led by Lt. Colonel Zvonko Atanasovski arrived in Petrinja, about 80km southeast of Zagreb, on Tuesday for a visit to the Croatian Army Second Guards Brigade.

Branko Predragovic told reporters before the meeting at "Predrag
Matanovic" Barracks that the purpose of the talks was to build
confidence and promote general security in accordance with the Vienna
Document 99 and the Adriatic Charter, which was signed by Albania,
Croatia, Macedonia and the United States.
"We will discuss the reorganisation, modernisation and overall
readiness of the two armed forces for peace missions (...) with a view
to achieving our common goal -- NATO membership -- as quickly and
easily as possible," Brigadier Predragovic said.
Lt. Colonel Atanasovski said that the main aim of the meeting was to
exchange information and experiences in order to strengthen the armed
forces of the two countries before joining NATO.
