HRVATSKA KOSTAJNICA AND USAID SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

HRVATSKA KOSTAJNICA, April 30 (Hina) - The Hrvatska Kostajnica Town Council and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday.#L# The memorandum, signed by the Mayor of Hrvatska Kostajnica, Davor Govorcinovic, and the USAID Director in Croatia, William Jeffers, will ensure that important issues of citizens are dealt with more efficiently and help local authorities in adjusting to new requirements for Croatia's admission to the European Union. The agreement reaffirms the continuation of successful cooperation as part of which the USAID has invested more than US2 million in rebuilding infrastructure in the Hrvatska Kostajnica area. This week the US agency has signed similar agreements with representatives of Karlovac, Slavonski Brod, Dvor, Jasenovac, Hrvatska Dubica, Sunja, Topusko, Donji Kukuruzari and Majur. (Hina) vm
