been attacked in his village, Zemunik Gornji, on 16 March.#L#
"While understanding the huge suffering of the local population and
the huge material damage caused during the Homeland Defence War, which
have burdened relations among local citizens and inter-ethnic
relations, I voice regret at the above-mentioned event. One cannot
okay and justify any violent act, including this one, which
jeopardises the freedom of others and their right to private property,
and in this case the right to return," the Catholic dignitary said in
his statement.
