Mufti Trnava and the Roman Catholic dignitary on Tuesday held talks
with Kosovo Premier Bajram Rexhepi, and supported plans of the local
government to establish a fund for the reconstruction of the buildings
which were destroyed in the recent violence.
The leader of the Islamic community called on Kosovans to refrain from
violence and cooperate with Kosovo institutions. He said he was sad to
see that Serb Orthodox churches had been set on fire.
Bishop Sopi voiced hope that riots would not recur.
Both Trnava and Sopi urged citizens to cooperate with local and
international institutions so as to remove consequences of the last
week's riots.
