ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - It is clear to everybody that the

Balkans, Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova said in an interview to the
Italian paper Corriere della Sera of Tuesday.#L#
"The events in recent days have certainly brought discredit on
Kosovans since we all know what kind of prejudices against Albanians
exist, and such events certainly do not help," Rugova said adding that
he did not believe that the recent violence undermined the process
which was leading to the province's independence.
Rugova, however, admitted that violence was sad proof that "much in
Kosovo has not been good and that there is no communication between
the two peoples (Albanians and Serbs)".
Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, who is attending a meeting
of EU Foreign Ministers in Brussels, has said that it is necessary to
adopt new strategies for Kosovo and "to think about solutions such as
administrative decentralisation as one of analyses for real
possibilities for the return of refugees".
