PRISTINA, Feb 20 (Hina) - The international investigating judge in Kosovo, Linn Slattengren, has set 30 days' detention for four senior Kosovo Protection Corps (KZK) officers accused of war crimes against civilians committed during
the 1998-9 conflicts in Kosovo's Orahovac municipality.

civilians committed during the 1998-9 conflicts in Kosovo's Orahovac

During interrogation the commander of the second KZK zone, Selim
Krasniqi, and 2nd Lt. Milaim Latifi denied the charges, while Lt. Col.
Bedri Zyberaj and Captain Xhavit Elshani stood mute, at their lawyers'
suggestion.
After the interrogation all four were transferred to Kosovo's largest
prison, Dubrava near Istok in western Kosovo.
Seventeen protected witnesses will be called to testify in the near
future, at the proposal of the international prosecutor with the
Prizren District Court, Jude Romano.
