ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - Last year Croatia exported a total of US6.1 billion in goods, while imports in the said period amounted to US14.2 billion so the country's trade deficit exceeded eight billion dollars, read data released by the
Central Bureau of Statistics on Monday.

Exports in 2003, however, increased by 25.7 percent in relation to the
year before, while imports increased by 32.4 percent.
Croatia's most important foreign trade partners are EU countries in
which the country exported goods worth US3.36 billion. Imports from
EU countries in 2003 amounted to 8 billion.
