The Constitution on Wednesday abolished the existing law, saying that
it was formally unconstitutional because it had not been passed by a
majority of all members of parliament.
"In anticipation of today's decision by the Constitutional Court to
abolish the Law on the Media because of its formal
unconstitutionality, it has been earlier agreed to send the same Law
on the Media to parliament under urgent procedure," Antolovic told
Hina.
Antolovic said he believed the law would be adopted by parliament by
April 30, the deadline set by the Constitutional Court.
The law was not declared unconstitutional because of its content, but
because of the way it was passed, he stressed.
The Law on the Media is one of the laws being adjusted to European
legislation.
