VUKOVAR COUNTY VUKOVAR, Jan 28(Hina) - A total of 35,087 or 67.9 percent of all people expelled from Vukovar-Srijem County in 1991 returned to their homes by January this year, the regional office for displaced people and refugees
reported on Wednesday.

A total of 11,266 of 22,061 displaced people from the Vukovar area
returned to their homes by January.
Most returnees were registered in the villages of the so-called Srijem
triangle in Nijemci municipality (72-96 percent) and in Nustar
municipality (93 percent).
The process of return was the least successful in villages with the
majority Serb population. For example, 258 of 935 displaced people
from Borovo municipality have returned to their homes (27.5 percent),
while none of the 29 displaced residents of Bobota and four displaced
residents of Negoslavci have returned to their homes.
