ZAGREB, Jan 23(Hina) - Upon returning to Croatia from a visit to the United States he paid together with Croatian Parliament President Vladimir Seks, Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul expressed particular satisfaction with the contents
and results of the visit to Washington, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
ZAGREB, Jan 23(Hina) - Upon returning to Croatia from a visit to the
United States he paid together with Croatian Parliament President
Vladimir Seks, Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul expressed particular
satisfaction with the contents and results of the visit to Washington,
the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Friday.#L#
According to the press release, during talks with U.S. Administration
representatives, the two sides pointed to good bilateral relations.
The Croatian officials voiced readiness to build partner relations
with the United States and asked U.S. officials to support Croatia's
bids to enter NATO.
Minister Zuzul has emphasised that U,S. officials voiced great
understanding for Croatia's endeavours and commended the Croatian
government for its policy concerning the return of refugees and the
position of minorities.
The U.S. also pointed out the importance of Croatia's full cooperation
with the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal and the resolution of the
case of General Ante Gotovina. State Secretary Colin Powell called on
Croatia to persevere in meeting all political criteria, and voiced his
country's readiness to back Croatia on the road toward Euro-Atlantic
institutions, the press release said.
