By drawing closer to the European Union and NATO, the Croatian
government has set important goals before itself, German Foreign
Minister Joschka Fischer said in his note, stressing that Germany
would continue to strongly support Croatia on its road to Europe.
Austria's Benita Ferrero-Waldner said her country was willing to
continue supporting Croatia in its bid to intensify ties with the EU.
She voiced confidence Croatia's membership application would be
approved by the European Commission.
Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi said she wished
Croatia-Japan relations would continue to progress.
