Mesic will talk to his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Necdet Sezer in Ankara on Tuesday. The Turkish president visited Zagreb in September 2003. After the talks, the two presidents will attend the signing of an agreement between the Croatian Construction and Development Bank and the Turkey's Turk Eximbank.
Mesic is also scheduled to give a talk at the institute for Euro-Asian strategic researches.
On Wednesday, the Croatian head of state will travel to Izmir to open Croatia's honorary consulate. The Croatian-Turkish economic forum will be held after the opening.
The authorities in Zagreb said the two countries' relations were very good and stable. Croatia and Turkey have signed 33 agreements so far, including the one on free trade.
