The Agency's chairwoman, Olgica Spevec, said that in 2004 Croatia granted 6.1 billion kuna of state subsidies, 3.8 percent less than in 2003.
The share of state subsidies in Gross Domestic Product in 2005 is 2.9 percent as against 3.3 percent last year.
Spevec said that subsidies had so far been granted mostly to the sectors of transport, shipbuilding and tourism, but that state support would in the future be granted more and more for research and development, as well as for environmental protection.
