If the costs of rent are added, the consumer basket cost 7,930 kuna, with the average salary covering 54.87 percent of living costs.
The consumer basket of a two-member pensioner family living in their own apartment cost 3,448 kuna, with the average pension covering 53.9 percent of living costs.
Living costs were highest in the northern Adriatic town of Pula (7,071 kuna) and lowest in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek (5,772 kuna).
With the costs of two school-age children added, the consumer basket cost 7,049 kuna, with the average salary covering 61.73 percent of living costs.
