During a four-day debate the opposition tried to prove that Vujanovic exceeded his constitutional powers by participating in negotiations on paying compensation to Croatia and that by doing so he admitted that Montenegro was responsible for war destruction in the area of Dubrovnik.
The opposition urged Vujanovic to resign, claiming that his conduct was disgraceful.
Vujanovic dismissed the accusations, stating that his actions were honest and moral and served to promote good neighbourly relations with Croatia.
"Montenegro's move was acknowledged by all foreign officials that I have met. Everything I did was in the interest of Montenegro and its citizens," Vujanovic said.
The Montenegrin president and his Croatian counterpart Stjepan Mesic have agreed that Montenegro pay compensation to farms in Croatia's southern Konavle region for a cow herd that was taken to Montenegro in 1991.
The agreed compensation amounts to 400,000 euros, and Montenegro has paid one installment of 120,000 euros so far, it was said in the parliamentary debate.
