ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The European Commission (EC) Delegation
in Croatia, embassies from EU countries and the Croatian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and European Integration will mark the European Day of Languages on
Saturday, the EC Delegation said in a statement on Friday. The
European Day of Languages was introduced at the initiative of the Council of
Europe and its purpose is the promotion of Europe's linguistic and cultural
diversity. The event is held in Croatia for the fourth consecutive year and
this year it will be attended by Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Croatia,
Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia,
Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Great Britain, and the EC Delegation.
