This day, which was today marked in 26 European countries and in Israel, has been celebrated by the Jewish Community in Zagreb for six years.
Opening an exhibition of holy curtains called by Jews 'paroket' in the "Milan and Ivo Steiner" gallery in Zagreb, the community's leader, Ognjen Kraus said that the purpose of marking European Jewish Heritage Day is to show rich Jewish heritage in Europe and promote the unity with other European cultures.
Guests at today's events could take part in a round table discussion on Jewish cuisine and taste traditional Jewish food.
