Alexander, who arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a tour of the region, held talks with top state officials in Sarajevo.
During a meeting with the state Presidency, he said the British government was very interested in seeing Bosnia further drawing closer to the EU and that it was willing to help it in this.
Speaking of priority tasks, Alexander mentioned the police reform and full cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal.
He said the British government would continue to be engaged in Bosnia and wished the country to continue with reforms so that it could sign a Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU.
This is the British government's clear message and position, the minister said.
