Dragicevic claims that Kruljac ordered the murder of an elderly civilian during liberation operations in Okucani in 1995, of which he says he has informed the Office of the President and the Chief Prosecutor's
Office.
The Office of the President on Tuesday dismissed Dragicevic's claim.
Chief State Prosecutor Bajic said in a statement to HTV on Wednesday that his office received the said complaint on July 19 and on August 2 forwarded it to the County Prosecutor's Office in Slavonski Brod.
The County Prosecutor's Office in Slavonski Brod has instructed the Vukovar-Srijem County police to investigate claims from the complaint only on Tuesday, after Dragicevic's claims were published in Nacional weekly, HTV reported in tonight's central news broadcast.
HTV also showed a facsimile of a slip confirming that Dragicevic sent mail to the Office of the President from Vinkovci on July 1, 2004, in which he claims to have informed the President of Kruljac's alleged crime.
Nacional published the facsimile on its web site today.
The Office of the President would not give any additional comment on the case today.
