SARAJEVO, July 12 (Hina) - The responsible for war crimes in
former Yugoslavia should be tried where the crimes were committed and this is
the principle supported by the US Administration, US Ambassador in charge of
war crimes issues Pierre Richard Prosper said in Sarajevo on Tuesday. Prosper said this to reporters after talks with the president of the Court
of bosnia-herzegovina, Medzida Kreso and Chief Prosecutor Marinko Jurcevic who
asked for US assistance in ensuring the extradition of war crimes indictees
wanted by the Bosnian judiciary.
"The continuation of the US support is very important to us,
particularly with the arrests of those hidding in neighbouring countries behind
dual citizenship," Kreso told reporters.
