PRISTINA, Aug 3 (Hina) - An interim agreement on free trade
between Kosovo and Macedonia, which the two sides recently signed, came into
force on Wednesday, officials of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and local
customs administration reported today in Pristina. Under the
agreement, the export of Kosovo products to the neighbouring country will be
completely liberalised, while customs tariffs for Macedonian products being
imported in Kosovo will be at the first stage reduced by eight percent, with
their total annulment in 2008.
So far, Kosovo has signed a free trade agreement only with Albania.
