During her talks in Pristina, the Swiss minister said that her country supports bids of Kosovo to become an independent state provided that the position of minorities is permanently monitored.
Calmy-Rey arrived in Kosovo on Saturday for a four-day visit. Later on Monday she and Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi will attend a red-ribbon-cutting ceremony at new psychiatric ward of the intensive care clinic in Pristina as Swiss government financed the construction of the new ward.
She will also visit 220 Swiss soldiers who are deployed in the Suva Reka town as members of the international Kosovo Force (KFOR).
