ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Thursdayreceived the credentials from the ambassadors of Austria, Jordan,Tunisia and Sri Lanka, Helga Konrad, Ramez Goussous, Mohamed Daous andAruni Yasodha Wijewardane
respectively, the president's Office said ina statement.
ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on
Thursday received the credentials from the ambassadors of Austria, Jordan,
Tunisia and Sri Lanka, Helga Konrad, Ramez Goussous, Mohamed Daous and Aruni
Yasodha Wijewardane respectively, the president's Office said in a
statement. Presenting the credentials, the incoming Austrian
ambassador said her government strongly supported Croatia's aspirations for the
accelerated launching of its EU entry talks, the statement said.
The ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan spoke about the
similarities between Jordan and Croatia.
Tunisia and Croatia must strengthen their ties in all areas, said the
incoming ambassador of Tunisia, the statement said
Recalling Mesic's visit to Sri Lanka in 2002, Ambassador Wijewardane
expressed conviction bilateral contacts would continue.
