HHO president Zarko Puhovski said the treatment of human rights had improved considerably and was constantly improving, notably with respect to the decrease of ethnicity-related violations, the public's positive attitude to victims of human rights violations, and the stabilised political life, the government said in a press release.
As for objections, Puhovski said the work of social services was negative and that it was necessary to amend the election legislation, notably regarding local authorities.
Kosor said social services must employ only professionals and agreed that the election legislation should be changed.
The meeting also addressed the media situation in Croatia. Puhovski said people's privacy was under growing pressure, but that political pressure on the media was constantly decreasing.
