ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday
relieved Bozica Cvjetko of duties in the Children's Council and the Commission
for the Prevention of Behavioural Disorders in Children and Youth, in which she
represented the State Prosecutor's Office. The government fired
Cvjetko at a closed-door session but did not say why. It is believed Cvjetko
was replaced in connection with child abuse cases in the Brezovica children's
home.
Cvjetko was recently suspended from the duty of deputy chief state
prosecutor because she was considered responsible for stopping investigations
into child abuses cases in Brezovica.
