ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - Science, Education and Sports Minister
Dragan Primorac on Tuesday held talks with two prominent scientists and leaders
of Europe's two premier molecular biology institutions about Croatia's
preparations to join the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in
2006. Primorac held talks with EMBL director general Iain Mattaj and
European Molecular Biology Organisation executive director Frank Gannon, the
ministry said in a press release, adding that if admitted to the EMBL Croatia
would be the first transition country to do so.
Mattaj and Gannon gave a talk at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute and
visited drugs company Pliva's laboratory.
