He said criminal charges would be pressed for illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances, while misdemeanour charges would be pressed for illegal possession of ammunition and some weapons.
The police yesterday searched the houses of the 10 persons in villages in the eastern Croatian Vinkovci area, finding infantry weapons, ammunition and parts of military uniforms which were not legally possessed.
Janic said the persons interviewed were later released.
He added that yesterday's actions were part of an operation launched after the arrest of Scorpion Slobodan Davidovic in Banovci near Vinkovci earlier this week. He is suspected of involvement in the summer 1995 killing of a group of Muslims from the Srebrenica area in eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
