The murder of the seven Bosniaks was taped on a video cassette that was shown for the first time at the trial of a former Yugoslav president, Slobodan Milosevic before the UN war crimes tribunal earlier this month.
A senior official of the Vukovar county police, Tomislav Ilijic, told Hina last night that the villager Slobodan D. was arrested after he had been kept under the police surveillance immediately upon the broadcasting of the video tape.
According to Ilijic, there was reasonably suspicion that one of men in the Scorpions uniforms who appeared at the tape might be the 51-year-old Slobodan D. from the eastern Croatian village of Banovci.
The suspect was taken to the nearby police station in Otok for a further police investigation.
Since the video tape was shown in public, the Interior Ministry of Serbia-Montenegro has so far arrested five men believed to have been Scorpions members,
