Vukelic said Croatia was interested in attracting Portuguese investment and stepping up cooperation, notably in small and medium-sized enterprise.
Barreiros said Portugal's business people were increasingly interested in Croatia and offered, among other things, sharing Portugal's experience in negotiating about European Union preaccession funds.
Croatia-Portugal trade accounts for 0.11 per cent of Croatia's foreign exchange of commodities.
Last year trade between the two countries was US$26.7 million, up 29.6 per cent from 2003. Croatian exports amounted to $1.9 million, up 16.2 per cent from 2003, while imports, worth $24.8 million, were up 30.8 per cent.
