ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Slobodan Davidovic, suspected of beinginvolved as a member of the Serbian special police unit 'Scorpions' inthe killing of several Bosnian Muslims in summer 1995, will remain incustody for one month, and an
investigation has been launched againsthim, according to a decision of an investigating judge of the ZagrebCounty Court.
ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Slobodan Davidovic, suspected of being
involved as a member of the Serbian special police unit 'Scorpions' in the
killing of several Bosnian Muslims in summer 1995, will remain in custody for
one month, and an investigation has been launched against him, according to a
decision of an investigating judge of the Zagreb County Court. The
52-year-old Davidovic, who is a Croatian citizen, stood mute at his first
appearance before the investigating judge in Zagreb on Tuesday.
Davidovic was arrested in the eastern Croatian village of Banovci over
the weekend on suspicion that as a member of the Scorpions he took part in the
killing of a group of Muslims from Srebrenica. A video of the killing was
recently shown at the trial of ex-Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic before
the Hague war crimes tribunal.
