Marovic that she expected full cooperation fromthat country, namely the extradition of all war crimes indictees,primarily Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic.
BELGRADE, June 2 (Hina) - The Chief Prosecutor of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla del
Ponte, said in Belgrade on Thursday after talks with Serbia and Montenegro
President Svetozar Marovic that she expected full cooperation from that
country, namely the extradition of all war crimes indictees, primarily Ratko
Mladic and Radovan Karadzic. "I am very grateful for cooperation
Belgrade has showed us so far, but I still expect full cooperation which
includes the arrest of all indictees, notably Karadzic and Mladic," del Ponte
said.
President Marovic told reporters that the future of the state union of
Serbia and Montenegro depended on the arrest of Karadzic and Mladic.
The chief prosecutor is also scheduled to meet Serbian Prime Minister
Vojislav Kostunica and Serbian President Boris Tadic. She is also expected to
meet the head of the National Council for cooperation with the ICTY, Rasim
Ljajic, and Serbia and Montenegro Foreign Minister Vuk Draskovic,
After Belgrade, del Ponte will visit Zagreb and Sarajevo,
