ZAGREB, May 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs
and European Integration, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, on Monday expressed regret
over the French "no" to the European Constitution, but pointed out that this
would not jeopardise Croatia's accession to the European Union.
"Croatia must continue to be resolute in fulfilling the (membership) criteria
and implementing reforms," Grabar-Kitarovic told reporters after meeting
Belgian Foreign Minister Karel de Gucht in Zagreb.
The Croatian minister said she was confident that "the pace of
accession will depend on Croatia itself."
French voters rejected the European Constitution with a majority of 55
per cent of votes at Sunday's referendum, slowing the process of European
integration.
