Marovic was quoted by the Montenegrin news agency MINA as saying that over the past 18 months a lot of work had gone into bilateral relations and that radical messages, from either side, would not threaten the good and friendly relations between the two countries.
Marovic announced he would meet Croatian President Stjepan Mesic in Belgrade in early June at the tenth meeting of the Igman Initiative.
Mesic on Monday cancelled a trip to Serbia-Montenegro because of a Serbian government-funded Chetnik rally last weekend.
Mesic's office confirmed that the president received an invitation to attend the Igman Initiative meeting in Belgrade. This initiative gathers nongovernmental organisations from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia-Montenegro. Its objective is the improvement of relations between the three neighbours and the building of confidence among different peoples and ethnic groups.
