BELGRADE, May 17 (Hina) - It would be bad if cooperation with
neighbours like Croatia was brought into question because of "some folklore
events," Serbian Labour Minister Slobodan Lalovic told the press on Tuesday,
adding the government had not financed the Chetnik gathering at Ravna Gora on
Sunday because it had not brought a decision to that effect. Lalovic
said the gathering had been financed by the government's Committee for
Nurturing the Tradition of Liberation Wars, which is headed by Culture Minister
Dragan Kojadinovic, a member of the Serbian Renewal Party (SPO).
Lalovic said he expected the "negative political effects" of the Ravna
Gora gathering to be eliminated soon.
