ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - The second phase of a joint project of the
Croatian Government and the International Commission for Missing Persons
(ICMP) was presented in the Croatian Ministry for the Family, War Veterans
Affairs and Inter-Generational Solidarity on Tuesday. The second
phase refers to the exchange of the results of blood samples collected from
members of the families of missing people.
Croatia is still searching for 1,159 Croatian soldiers and
civilians,
The joint project includes the exchange of DNA data so as to compare
similarities between the blood samples collected from members of the families
of missing people and all samples from bones exhumed from mass graves in the
former Yugoslavia.
