"Let us turn to the future. We shall not make our relations with our neighbours conditional on their position towards events of the past, so we expect the same from them. Europe is our common home," the ministry said.
The statement was prompted by Croatian President Stjepan Mesic's decision to cancel a planned visit to Belgrade following Sunday's gathering of followers of the Serbian Chetnik Movement at Ravna Gora.
Earlier on Monday, Mesic said in a statement that he was cancelling his visit because the Ravna Gora rally had taken place under the aegis of the Serbian government.
