Roncevic and Ricardel discussed "A Strategic Defence Review", a Defence Ministry document on the country's integration into NATO, and the US-Croatia military cooperation.
Roncevic said the talks also focused on Croatia's participation in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan as well as in the Adriatic Charter, which also includes Albania and Macedonia.
The US official said that the Croatia-US military cooperation was good and added during her stay in Croatia she held talks with representatives of the Croatian Parliament and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, who informed her of changes in Croatia's defence system.
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic also received the US Assistant Secretary of Defence to talk about the two countries' military cooperation, the President's Office said in a statement.
Mesic highlighted the good bilateral cooperation in the context of achieving Croatia's strategic objectives -- joining NATO and the EU. He also stressed the importance of defence reforms in Croatia.
Ricardel stressed the importance of Croatia's participation in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan, the statement said.
