invested huge efforts in the process of thereturn of refugees and integration, adding that progress was also madein the consolidation of the issue of minorities and the media, theculture Ministry said in a statement.
ZAGREB, April 25 (Hina) - The outgoing head of the Organisation
for Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) Mission in Croatia, Peter
Semneby, said on Monday during talks with Croatian Culture Minister Bozo
Biskupic that Croatia invested huge efforts in the process of the return of
refugees and integration, adding that progress was also made in the
consolidation of the issue of minorities and the media, the culture Ministry
said in a statement. This was a historic time for Croatia, but also
the time when a new, European identity of Croatia was created, the OSCE
officials said. Croatia made many adjustments and is successfully implementing
the process of the country's joining the European Union, Semneby said and
added that the steps the new Ivo Sanader-led government had made represented a
great step forward also in the the process of reconciliation between
peoples.
Minister Biskupic said it was important to continue the positive
processes.
He stressed the Croatian Government and the Culture Ministry would
continue to promote freedom of the media and a healthy civil society, the
statement said.
