OSIJEK, April 21 (Hina) - Late on Thursday night, Branimir Glavassubmitted to the election commissions for the City of Osijek andOsijek-Baranja County independent lists of candidates running in theMay 15 local elections. Glavas tops the lists and is the candidate forthe posts of mayor and county prefect.
OSIJEK, April 21 (Hina) - Late on Thursday night, Branimir Glavas submitted to the election commissions for the City of Osijek and Osijek-Baranja County independent lists of candidates running in the May 15 local elections. Glavas tops the lists and is the candidate for the posts of mayor and county prefect.

The lists also include former members of the Croatian Democratic Union county and city branches who on Wednesday night and Thursday decided that they would leave the HDZ if Glavas was ousted from the party.

Independent lists consisting of former members of HDZ municipal branches were also submitted in Djakovo, Belisce and Vuka, Glavas said.
