the renovation of the building.
VUKOVAR, April 21 (Hina) - Keys to 97 reconstructed flats in a
high-rise building in the Borovo Nasellje area of Vukovar were given to their
tenants. The government invested 20.5 million kuna (approximately 2.7 million
euros) in the renovation of the building. Prewar tenants will move
in 74 flats, while new tenants will move in 23 flats.
Local authorities reported that another 234 flats were being
reconstructed. During this year, a total of 984 flats will have been rebuilt,
which will practically mark the end of the reconstruction of flats in this
formerly war-hit area.
So far, 3,149 flats, demolished or damaged during the Serb aggression
against this eastern Croatian city in 1991, have been rebuilt.
