Inter-cultural dialogue will be one of the main topics in coming years, Figel said, stressing the importance of Croatia participating in European conferences on culture as a candidate country.
Biskupic stressed the importance of the Vukovar-Vucedol-Ilok project, which is financed by the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Croatian government and which is an important factor of the future inter-cultural dialogue in the formerly war-struck area.
Biskupic informed his guests about Croatia's involvement in talks on UNESCO's convention on cultural diversity, reiterating the importance of Croatia's admission to the EU. He urged them to help Croatia on that road and support its integration into cultural projects.
Wunenburger was particularly interested in the Croatian model of collection of monument fees in the area of protection of cultural heritage as a unique model in Europe, the ministry said in the statement.
