Valerie Brasey, a forensic expert of the UN Mission in Kosovo, told reporters that the remains belonged to people from the village of Meje near Djakovica and Vucitrn municipality.
On April 27, 1999, Serb police and army forces killed 128 people in Meje and transferred their bodies to Batajnica, where they were buried in a mass grave.
According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the bodies of 441 Albanians have been returned to Kosovo since the end of the war in 1999.
At least 3,000 people from Kosovo are still listed as missing, of whom 2,300 are Albanians and around 700 Serbs and members of other minorities.
