SIBENIK, March 28 (Hina) - The port authorities of the Croatian
central Adriatic city of Sibenik have recently reported that Sibenik has become
a member of the MED CRUISE association, which gathers seaports where cruisers'
yachts can land. The funds necessary for the membership fee
totalling 16,000 dollars were ensured by the local tourist boards, the city's
authorities, the port's authorities as well as by the nearby Krka National
Park.
Last year, 45 cruisers with about 4,800 passengers aboard entered the
port of Sibenik.
This year, Sibenik is expecting 47 cruisers.
