HTZ Director-General Niko Bulic has said the campaign will consist of advertising Croatia on eminent European TV stations, with the aim of motivating foreign tourists to decide to travel to Croatia from Easter to June when there is usually a smaller number of arrivals.
According to the structure of the costs, 750,000 euros will be spent for the promotional campaign in Germany. It is followed by Italy (400,000 euros) and Austria (300,000 euros).
The HTZ plans to spend 150,000 euros for the country's promotion in Sweden and the Netherlands each, and 100,000 euros in the Czech Republic. It will allocate 60,000 euros for this purpose in Poland and Hungary each.
Last year, the HTZ spent about 26 million kuna for promotional campaigns, while this year the figure is likely to be 36 million kuna, Bulic said earlier this week.
