Rehn, who is scheduled to visit Pristina and Belgrade on January 24 and 25, will relay a message about clear European prospects for western Balkan countries and stress the importance of regional cooperation, the statement said.
On January 24, Rehn visit Pristina and meet representative of the NATO-led Kosovo Force, UN Mission in Kosovo and Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and leaders of Kosovo Albanainas and Serbs.
A day later, Rehn will hold talks in Belgrade with the president of Serbia and Montenegro, Svetozar Marovic, Foreign Minister Cuk Draskovic, Serbian President Boris Tadic, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic, Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and human and minority rights minister Rasim Ljajic.
The European Commission is drawing up a feasibility study on preparations of the country for negotiations on the stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU.
