BELGRADE, Jan 20 (Hina) - The European Union's high representative
for the common foreign and security policy, Javier Solana, has postponed a
visit to Serbia and Montenegro announced for Friday, his spokeswoman Christina
Gallach said on Thursday. She said the visit was postponed because some issues Solana was to have
discussed with officials of Serbia, Montenegro and the state union were not
sufficiently mature to be settled.
Gallach said Solana and his advisors would be in touch with Belgrade and
Podgorica so that talks could be arranged and results achieved.
Stefan Lehne, Solana's close aide in charge of the Western Balkans,
arrived in Belgrade yesterday but the meetings scheduled for today were
postponed.
