ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - The head of the Islamic community in Croatia,Mufti Sevko Omerbasic, on Thursday morning said a Bayram Namaz prayerat the Zagreb mosque to mark the start of the Muslim holiday of KurbanBayram.
ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - The head of the Islamic community in Croatia,
Mufti Sevko Omerbasic, on Thursday morning said a Bayram Namaz prayer at the
Zagreb mosque to mark the start of the Muslim holiday of Kurban Bayram.Omerbasic said, among other things, that the beginning of the 21st
century had seen a major crisis of faith which shook moral values and reflected
on the poorest strata among the Islamic faithful.
He recalled the solidarity the Islamic community had shown by collecting
relief for the victims of the recent Southeast Asia tsunami.
Attending the prayer were also the ambassadors of Islamic countries
accredited in Croatia.
