The US congratulates all CEFTA countries -- Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, the UN Mission to Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia and Romania, the Department of State said in a statement on Wednesday issued over the signing of the expanded CEFTA in Bucharest yesterday.
The State Department said the new CEFTA would help nonmembers of the World Trade Organisation prepare for membership and lead to closer economic cooperation which would facilitate accession to the European Union.
The expanded CEFTA confirms the new spirit of regional cooperation in Southeast Europe and is a strong signal to foreign investors interested in the newly-created common market of 25 million people, read the statement.
